Disclaimer

The full disclaimer for this independent site: what our information is, what it is not, and where its limits lie.

Last updated: 20 October 2026

Independent Informational Website

929AreaCode.us is an independent informational website, not affiliated with NANPA, the North American Numbering Plan Administrator, the FCC, or any telephone carrier. This disclaimer expands on the short notice shown in the footer of every page, and both notices should be read together.

All content is for informational purposes only. We explain the 929 area code, its coverage, prefixes, carriers in general terms, dialing and safety topics. We are not part of the numbering administration system and we play no role in assigning, managing or withdrawing telephone numbers.

Information May Become Outdated

Telephone numbering changes constantly. New prefixes are assigned, blocks move between carriers through portability, overlays such as 465 are added, and exhaust forecasts are revised. Information that was correct when a page was researched may become outdated as numbering plans change. We review and update pages periodically, but we cannot promise that every detail is current on the day you read it.

Where counts or attributions matter to a decision, treat our pages as background and confirm the detail through an official or provider source.

This caution applies with special force to population figures, prefix counts and carrier names, the three areas where third party directories most often disagree with each other. On this site we flag uncertainty where it exists, for example by noting that published counts of active 929 prefixes vary by source and date. A site that prints a single confident figure for a moving target is not being more helpful. It is being less honest, and readers should weigh that when comparing sources.

We Do Not Sell Numbers and Are Not a Carrier

We do not sell phone numbers and are not a carrier. We cannot provide you with a 929 number, port a number for you, fix a service problem, trace a caller or block a number on your account. Pages that describe how numbers are obtained or ported are explanations of how the system works, not offers of service. For service matters, contact a carrier or provider directly.

Scam Guidance and Lookup Results

Scam guidance on this site is general safety information, not law enforcement advice. We cannot confirm that a specific call is criminal, and no website can, because numbers can be spoofed and callers can lie about who they are. If you believe a crime has occurred, contact your local police or the relevant official reporting channel in your area. If money or account access may be affected, contact your bank immediately through its official channels.

Lookup results and prefix information on this site are informational. A prefix shows an original carrier block and a rate centre, not a guaranteed current carrier, owner, name or exact location. Never make a payment, share a code or trust a caller solely because a lookup result looked reassuring.
